James is survived by his wife, Christie Rowe of Canton; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Randal Jack, Kristy and Dustin Hill, Liberty Thomas and Robert Anderson; daughter, Hannah Popham; son, Henry Popham; grandchildren, Dalton, Harley, Asa, Micah, Tristen, Aaliyah, Khai, Elijah, Thelma and Braxton; great-granchildren, Atlaus, Briken, and Chairtree; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane Gayton and Bud Freeman, Cindy and Ronnie Stinchcomb; and best friend Douglas Mathis. He was preceded in death by his parents, James William and Willie Mae Rowe. Services will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 24, 2025 from the chapel of Roper Funeral Home.
