Mullinax, age 81 of Talking Rock, Georgia passed away Friday, May 22, 2026 at home. Jolyn was born on December 15, 1944 in Ellijay, GA to Lee and Edith Wishon Newton. Survivors include: husband; Jessie Mullinax of Talking Rock; son and daughter-in-law; Tony and Lawanna Parker of Chatsworth; daughter; Tammy Chastain of Talking Rock; brothers and sister-in-law; Billy Newton of Jasper and Mitchell and Sheila Newton of Jasper; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family also survive. Services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, May 25, 2026 with Pastor Jared Raines officiating. The interment will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00am until 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ludville Church of God.
