She was born June 8, 1946 to O. C. and Grace Morris in Jasper. Joyce is survived by her husband, Charlie Carver of Talking Rock; son and daughter-in-law, David and Sharon Carver; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Scott Payne; grandson, Greg and Brittany Payne; granddaughter, Megan and Daniel Cirincione; eight great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and E.C. Carver, Joan Fountain, Judy and Anthony Cagle; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Diane Morris, Stanley and Rita Morris, Troy and Shirley Morris; sister-in-law, Marylou Pettigrew, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tommy and Annie Carver. Lots of nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, O.C. and Grace Morris; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Grady and Thelma Carver; brother-in-law, James Carver; sister-in-law, Essie Faye Godfrey. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Talking Rock Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Talking Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
