Judith, "Judy", was born and raised in southern Iowa, lived in sunny Florida and the lovely mountains of Georgia. She was an inspiring music teacher who loved to host children and families on her property in the Georgia mountains. She played guitar and performed in many gospel bands in her life as she led congregations to worship in song. She adored nature and traveling, especially to Savannah, Georgia. Her family was her life and joy.
She is survived by her loving husband, Arzee "Max" Harvey McAbee; sister, Joyce Moore; brother, Gary Henderson; four adult children, Christine Kellogg, Steve McAbee, Shane McAbee and Joshua McAbee; grandchildren, Jennifer Brooks, Katherine Kellogg, Victoria Bailey, David Kellogg, Matthew McAbee, Bailey McAbee, Camden McAbee, and Andrew McAbee. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations to be given in memory of Judy McAbee to The American Cancer Society and The Alzheimer's Association in memory of her beloved father Russell Henderson.
