She was born December 23, 1945 to Ernest and Edna Mabry in Jasper. Linda is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Tony Smith of Talking Rock, Leslie and Kevin Roper of Canton; grandchildren, Colton and Alexis Crook, Trey Edge, Chandler and Kenzie Smith, William Roper, Thomas Roper; great-grandchildren, Ella Crook, Chandler Smith Jr., Noble Smith, and Liam Whatley Roper. Nieces, nephews and other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sammy McGhee; parents, Ernest and Edna Mabry; and brother, Steve Mabry. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 22, 2024 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Preston Jones and Kevin Roper officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Colton Crook, Trey Edge, Chandler Smith, William Roper, Thomas Roper, and Joe Mabry. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. The family has requested that no food be brought to the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
