Linda Gail Rectenwald, lovingly known as Gail, was born on March 21, 1954, in Stockbridge, Georgia. She was the cherished daughter of Leonard and Marie Reeves, who preceded her in death.
Gail shared 22 years of marriage with her husband, Robert Rectenwald. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Kimberly Wilson and Carrie Long, and a proud mother-in-law to Jason Long. Her greatest joy was being "Nana" to her beloved grandchildren, Blake Wilson, Autumn Skladanowski (Tommy), Ryan Long, and Kristen Long; and soon to be great grandchild Lucas Long. Being Nana was one of her most treasured roles, and her love for her grandchildren knew no bounds. Gail is also survived by her sisters, Ruby Phillips, Elise Thomas, Carol Calihan, Connie Burdette; brother, Steve Reeves; nieces; nephews; and other family members.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ernest Reeves, Edward Reeves, Paul Reeves, and Roy Reeves.
Later in life, Gail made her home in Jasper, Georgia, where she found her calling in wellness and healing. She owned and operated a wellness and spa clinic, a place that reflected her compassionate heart. More than a career, her work was a ministry-she loved ministering to others, offering comfort, encouragement, and care to all who crossed her path.
Gail will be remembered for her kind spirit, her servant's heart, and her unwavering faith. Her legacy lives on through her family and the many lives she touched through her ministry and compassion.
"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him."
- James 1:12
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered
