Howard, age 79, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Sonshine Manor Personal Care Home in Ellijay, Georgia. Lois was born October 20, 1943 in Lumpkin County to her late parents, Ben and Eva Lou Brown Howard. Survivors include her brothers, Clifford, George, Billy, and Ben Jr.; sisters, Jennie Howard and Joann Hayes; daughter, Tami Collett; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kim Collett of Jasper; grandchildren, Brandon Collett, Meghan Faircloth, Brian Collett, and Thomas Collett. Several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren also survive. Lois was preceded in death by grandson, Justin Collett; daughter, Laura Billingsly; brothers and sisters, Jack, Ernest, Homer, Mary, Stella Mae, James, Faye; and parents, Ben and Eva Lou Howard. A family graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Jasper. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
