She was born April 28,1925 to Lewis Josh and Emmie Maxwell in Cairo, Georgia. Mrs. Bennett is survived by her daughter, Vicki Tomberlin of Talking Rock; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Donna Bennett of Seffner, Florida; brother, Cullen Maxwell of Cario; sister, Dianne Goodwin of Cairo; brother and sister-in-law, Gary Lee (Shorty) and Sandy Maxwell of Cairo; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Dale and Randall Miller of Boston; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald T. (JaBo) and Laura Maxwell of Cairo; brother and sister-in-law, Larry James and Juanita Maxwell of Cairo; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Austin Bennett Sr.; children, Carroll Harrison Ward, Ernest Austin Bennett Jr., and nine brothers and sisters. Mrs. Bennett will have a service and burial in Brandon, Florida. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
