She retired from the Burnt Mountain Center after 45 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lois Wilkins; sister-in-law; June Wilkins; grandparents, Carter and Lizzie Wilkins; and grandmother, Ora Carver. Louise is survived by her brothers: Charles Wilkins of Talking Rock, Ted Wilkins of Talking Rock; uncle and aunt, Lamar and Patsy Carver of Jasper; nephew and nieces, Scotty Wilkins, Tina Dean and Scott Fowler, Amy Cannady, LaBrina Wilkins, Angie Wilkins-Turner, Sandy Jordan, and Stephanie Boling. A host of great-nieces and great-nephews that she loved dearly along with special friend, Ms. Terry Hill, also survive. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 with Rev. Jimmy Wehunt and Rev. Jack Pilcher officiating. The interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. The family will accept flowers or contributions can be made to the Burnt Mountain Center. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
