She was born November 15, 1927 to Clay and Nimmie Padgett in Jasper. Marjorie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Wallace and Rita Reece of Jasper, Gary and Cay Reece of Jasper, Bryan and Melinda Reece of Jasper; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Harold Evans of Jasper, Diane Reece Williamson of Carrollton, Renee and Eddie Burgess of Jasper; nine grandchildren, Brooke and Mathew Parks, Lindsay and Brian Jones, Vanessa and Shawn Patterson, Anita Evans Keener, Beth and Bryant Turner, Jennifer and Shannon Robinson, Adam and Eleanor Reece, Ben and Alexa Reece, Justin and Beth Burgess; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and special caregivers, Dymple Buttrum and Teresa Padgett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Leroy Reece and son-in-law, David Williamson. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Sharptop Baptist Church with Reverend Nathan Smith and Reverend Grant Wade officiating; prayer by Jeff Patterson. Interment will follow in the Sharptop Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers. Special music will be provided by Patsy Daniel; Bryant, Beth, and Madelyn Turner; and Tony Tippens, Song Leader. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Friday, June 6, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The family will accept flowers or a memorial donation in Marjorie's honor to Georgia Mountains Hospice at 1452 East Church Street; Jasper, GA 30143.
