He was born October 19, 1969 to Edgar and Laverne Walker in Commerce, Georgia. Mark is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Starla and Brandon Garrett of Waleska; grandson, Brantley Garrett of Waleska; mother, Laverne Walker of Talking Rock; sisters, Tammy Martin of Jasper, Donna Allen of Jefferson; brother, Phillip Walker of Jefferson; aunt, Nora Chambers of Talking Rock; niece, Dana Angel of Ellijay; great nephews, Mark Phillips and Draven Becerra. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 12 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Joseph Hightower officiating. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday at Roper Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until just prior to the service. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
