She was born September 3, 1945 to Dennis and Bonnie Cantrell in Ellijay, Georgia. Mary is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gerald Aaron of Jasper; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Dewayne Fendley of Canton, Jackie and Greg Gibson of Jasper; brother, William Cantrell of Jasper; sister, Ruth Gravitt of Calhoun; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Aaron of Jasper, Charles Aaron of Ball Ground; sister-in-law, Beth Aaron of Florida; grandchildren, Brian and Kelly Fendley of Blairsville, David Fendley of Canton, Ethan and Jessie Gibson of Calhoun; and six great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Cantrell; father, Dennis Cantrell; and sister, Shirley Aaron. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2024 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Buck Parker and Reverend Nathan Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery in Jasper. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday, January 19, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Sharptop Baptist Church.
