Mary "Linda" Jager, age 83, of Jasper, Georgia passed away Friday, February 27, 2026 at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. She was born December 1, 1942 to Buddy and Nell Coggins in Clanton, Alabama. Linda leaves behind a legacy of love, grace, and devotion that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Linda was an amazing wife, mother, and woman of faith. She loved the Lord deeply and lived her life as a reflection of that faith - with kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family.
Linda loved gardening, tending to her flowers with patience and care, watching them bloom just as she helped her family flourish. She was a wonderful cook, filling her kitchen with delicious meals and even more delicious memories.
Linda is survived by her husband, Ronald Jager of Jasper; son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Cindi Jager of Columbia, South Carolina; daughter, Sherrie Tomlinson of Portland, Tennessee; daughter, Sandy Pilcher of Senoya, Georgia; grandchildren, Justin and Allison Jager, Corey and Kelsey Jager, Ashleigh West Breanna and Sam Kilman, Kristina and Tyler Werts, Michelle and Robby Elliott, Gary and Brooke Banks; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and sister, Deborah Webster.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Nell Coggins; and her brother, David Coggins and son-in-law Phillip Pilcher.
One of Linda's greatest joys was dancing with her beloved husband, Ron. Whenever the song "Look at Us" by Vince Gill came on, she and Ronald would find each other, smile, and dance - a beautiful picture of enduring love and partnership. Their love story was one of devotion, friendship, and deep affection.
Linda's life was a testament to faith, love, and commitment - to her husband, her children, her home, and her Lord. She will forever be remembered as an amazing mother, a devoted wife, and a beautiful soul.
