He was born August 18, 1953 to Robert Lee Fox, Sr. and Martha Ann Fox in Tampa, Florida. Michael began working for Seaboard Coast Line in 1971. After moving to Atlanta with his wife, Jeri, he established his own business in the plumbing industry, founding Fox Plumbing, Inc. in 1975. Michael is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jeri Fox of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Michael Butler of McDonough; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and John Paul Collins of Blairsville; daughter: Raina Fox of Jasper; brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Brenda Fox, Jr. of Tampa, Florida; sister, Rosalind Lucas of Hollywood, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Ted Chaney of Cartersville; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Candace Fox of Gainesville, Florida; grandchildren, Hunter Butler, McKenna and Joe Perry, Ireland Dannehold, Ethan Hester, Ellie Kate Dannehold, Saylor Butler, and Evan Willingham. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Fox, Sr. and mother, Martha Ann Fox. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2025 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Chaplain Scott Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. located at 1173 Cascade Circle SW; Atlanta, GA 30311. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation (AAMDSIF) at 401 N Washington Street, Suite 430; Rockville, MD 20850.
