She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Charles Brooks Thawley; their three daughters, Lauren Thawley, Deborah Williams (George) and Brooke Thawley; grandchildren, Brittany Fowler (William), Jordan Linder (Kim), Sarah Williams, and Zachary Ortman, and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Judge and Mrs. John Wesley Jernigan. Nancy was a retired nurse and spent many years focusing on pediatric care. She had a tremendous gift of caring for others, especially children. Her hobbies were cooking, baking, sketching, drawing, sewing, and knitting. She had a love for the outdoors and most especially the mountains where she lived out the remaining years of her life with her loving husband. She loved her family immeasurably, and touched countless people with such care. A private funeral service will be held at a time to be determined.
