She was born May 18, 1951 to Ralph and Carolyn Atkins in Jasper. Elaine is survived by her husband, Donald Duke of Jasper; children, Jeff and Lisa Duke of Jasper, Jenny and James Cox of Jasper; sister, Kathy Abernathy of Blairsville; grandchildren, April Daman of Jasper, Brandon Edwards of Jasper, Ashley Cox of Jasper, Jacob Cox of Jasper; great-grandchildren, Kinzley Daman, Kloe Daman, and Konner Daman. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Ronald Pruitt and Reverend Leroy Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Fann, Larry Fann, Robert Pierce, James Cox, Jacob Cox, and Vaughn Kelley. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Monday, May 2, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
