Chapman, age 83, of Jasper, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 at her home. She was born July 13, 1938 to Carter and Lois Low in Jasper. She was married to the late Charles Chapman; was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper; and was a teacher in the Pickens County School System. Peggie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Mark Miller of Jasper; son, Clint Chapman of Jasper; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Chapman and her parents, Carter and Lois Low. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at The First Baptist Church of Jasper. Interment will follow in the Jasper City Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Monday, May 9, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and at The First Baptist Church of Jasper, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations in her honor be made to the First Baptist Church of Jasper, the Jasper Lions Club, the Georgia Lions Lighthouse, or the Georgia Lions Camp.
