Richard was born on August 25, 1951 in Fairmount, Georgia to Emory and Dorothy Robinson Chastain. Richard is survived by his wife, Wanda Chastain of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Jaime and Ray Grace of Talking Rock; grandchildren, Hunter Parker of Chatsworth, Nate Grace of Talking Rock, Morgan Kosar of Jacksonville, Florida and Cody Grace of Jacksonville, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Earlene and Edwin Wigington of Jasper; sister, Charlene Meiss of Jasper; great-grand baby to be Maybree Eloise Grace; the lights of his life great-niece, Laiken Mosley and great-nephew, Gavin Mosley. Several nieces, nephews, friends and family also survive. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Dorothy Chastain and sister, Maxine Rogers. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday December 2, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Pastor Butch Roberts officiating. The interment will follow in the Hinton Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Monday, December 1, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
