He was born January 6, 1949 to Bob and Lola Gaddis. Richard is survived by his wife, Jackie Gaddis of Jasper; son, Marty Gaddis (Amanda Buchanan), daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Clint Thacker; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Bobbie Gaddis; four grandchildren, Lola Gaddis, Brady Gaddis, Noah Thacker, Charlie Thacker all of Jasper; sisters-in-law, Sherry Headrick, Liz Patrick; brother-in-law, David Whitaker; nieces and nephews, Greg Gaddis, Sharon Allday, Lori Headrick, Ashley Davis, Sam Whitaker, Joshua Whitaker, Emily Whitaker, John Phares, Adam Phares. Several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lola and Bob Gaddis. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
