She was preceded in death by her husband, Dearrll Beck; sisters and brothers, Judy Eaton Stanfield, Joan Mayfield, Barry Chastain, Larry Chastain and Nicky Chastain. Denise is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shannon Denise and James Andrew Smith Sr. of Jasper; grandchildren, James Andrew Smith Jr. and his girlfriend, Ashley Williamson, Nickie Lee Smith, Alisha Smith, Noah Casey Smith; great grandchildren, Nikki Smith and Sawyer Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Tim Boothe of Ellijay. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Services will be held Friday, December 16th, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Larry Kelly officiating. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Thursday, December 15th, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday, December 16th, 2022 from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm. The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org or donations can be mailed to 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
