She was preceded in death by her son, Mike Pruett; father, Reverend Thomas Blackwell; and daughter-in-law, Stacey Blackwell. Shelby is survived by her husband, Walter Pruett of Marble Hill; mother and step-father, Edith and Bob Langston; sons and daughters-in-law, Nathan Blackwell of Marble Hill, Micky Pruett of Talking Rock, Mitchell and Amanda Pruett of Talking Rock, Nicky and Libba Pruett of Jasper; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Vanesa Blackwell, Shane and Tracie Blackwell, William and Dana Blackwell; grandchildren, Harley Pruett, Noah Blackwell, Megan Logan, Sydnie Blackwell, Bo Pruett, Kaleb Blackwell, Avril Pruett, Mason Pruett, Bailey Webster, and Brady Steid. Shelby or "Momo" as her grandchildren called her, was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed sharing her testimony from God, summertime, attending birthday parties for her loved ones, listening to Elvis, talking on the phone, and capturing every moment she could on film. Despite a long and tough struggle with cancer, Shelby will be remembered by her contagious laughter and all of the memories made with her family. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Yellow Creek Baptist Church with Reverend William Blackwell and Reverend Sylvester Ridings officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 3, 2025 from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m. The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers, those who desire may make contributions in memory of Shelba to Roper Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
