Obituary

Roper Funeral Home and Crematory 206 Holly St Jasper, GA 30143 (706) 253-7500 (706) 253-0040 www.roperfuneralhome.com It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of our mother, Sherneen Hoffman, at the age of 81. She passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family in person and in spirit. She was a woman of immense vision, wisdom and creative talent whom cherished every moment with her loved ones. She was soft spoken with a gentle and kind heart. Always teaching us to "Treat others as you would want to be treated." as her golden rule. She had a dry sense of humor filled with wit to guide her through tough times. Always looking towards the brighter side, she'd laugh in the face of adversity. She grew up in the Mountains but found living by the Ocean to be her greatest joy. She had an old and wise soul and her journey with us was truly a special one. Her career started early in high school as she had a natural talent to cut and style her friends hair. This led her to formal training in Boston after graduation. At completion she moved to Cape Cod and started a successful career in cosmetology. In high demand and catering to the who's who for the next twenty years. She married and continued to work while she raised three daughters, Renee, Michelle and Nichol before moving to Florida. She continued her career until into her 50's, at which time she put her scissors down to care for her loving parents. After their passing she moved back to the mountains in Jasper, Georgia where she got to enjoy the remainder of her life with her two fur babies, Coco and Kodi. Doing what she wanted, when she wanted, without anyone telling her what to do. As it should be. We love you Mom! Your kind generosity, guidance and unconditional love will be sorely missed. Sherneen is survived by her daughters, Renee Stearns, Michelle Brocker, and Nichol Willard; her grandchildren, Joey, Alyssa, Cassandra, Briana, Michaela, Brittney and Nicholas; and her great-grandchildren, Vivian, Kamylia, Christian, Eric, Jaxson, Ciara, Avery, Camila and Stetson. She wasn't a fan of cut flowers as they wilted and died. So, in lieu of flowers the family requests that you plant a tree in her memory. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
