She was born June 15, 1939 to Austin and Beulah Young in Talking Rock, Georgia. She proudly served her country as a nurse working in Army hospitals. Stella is survived by her daughter, Rose Davidson of Talking Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Joe Ray of Texas; son and daughter-in-law, David and Maureen Evans of Alaska; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Pamela Evans of Talking Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Terry Tlumac of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Michael Vasquez of Canton; and 97 grandchildren. Several other family members also survive. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2025 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Butch Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Jasper. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Monday, April 21, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
