Suzi was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 17, 1948. She grew up in Asheville, North Carolina and graduated from Lee Edwards High School (Asheville High School). Suzi took pride in her children, Shannan and Tami and her grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as "Mimi." Her daughters remember their mother as their best friend, a welcoming hostess, fabulous cook, seamstress, bow maker, calligrapher and much more. There was not much Suzi could not do. But most importantly, she would always be available when friends or family had a need - with her big smile, gracious heart and a take-charge attitude. Suzi is survived by her husband of 15 years, Arvin Brant Creef (Buddy); her daughters, Shannan Reed Adkins (Chip) of Birmingham, AL; Tami Reed Crawford (Lindsay) of Chattanooga, TN; and grandchildren, Reed Gregory Adkins, Anna Kate Adkins, Sarah Frances Crawford and William Douglas Crawford; her sisters, Mary Ann Case Frelier of Gastonia, NC; Katherine Brown Hughes (Kitty) of Asheville, NC; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Miklos Brown; her mother, Lola Cody Ray; and her sister, Jean Brown Lyles. Suzi is also survived by her four stepchildren, Kim Creef Shear, Arvin Shawn Creef, Bernard Brant Creef, Samuel Micheal Creef and their families. Family and close friends will be having a Celebration of Life in Asheville, NC at a date to be determined.
