He was born June 1, 1941 to Coy and Effie Evans in Talking Rock, Georgia. Troy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce Evans of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bob James of Jasper; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Beth Evans of Woodstock, Darren and Veronica Evans of Canton; grandchildren, Brandon and Maura Heath of Jasper, Mark and Lisa Cascioli of Canton, Jennifer and Brian Andrews of Florida; seven great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Grady and June Evans of Sandy Springs and sister-in-law, Pat Evans of Jasper. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 20, 2022 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Weaver and Reverend Grant Wade officiating. Interment will follow in the Free Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. A Masonic Graveside Service will be held. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. The family asks that everyone wear a mask for visitation and service.
