He departed this life January 13, 2022, at his home. Vonce was a devoted father, grandfather, and husband. He graduated from the Pickens County Training School in Tate, Georgia. He then married Jane Farrow. He worked at Jasper Banking Company for 48 years until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Farrow, his mother and father James and Bunance Farrow, sisters, Orris McCowan, Dizzie Bell Green and granddaughter , Taylor Alexis Freeman. Vonce leaves to cherish his memories a daughter Rhonda (Sam) Freeman of Jasper, three grandchildren, Chandler, Rene, and Ronnie all of Jasper, one brother, Blufus (Jane) Farrow of Marietta. Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, in the Roper Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friend at Roper Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Vonce will be remembered by all who knew him.
