He was born June 16, 1934 to Oscar and Maudie Silver in Ball Creek. Dillard is a Deacon at Ball Creek Baptist Church. Dillard is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn and Danny Childers of Talking Rock, Janet Silver of Cumming; grandchildren, Lauren and Chris Saxon of Canton, Dakota Richards of Jasper, Dillon and Sydney Horton of Dawsonville, Cassidy Horton (Dylan Brewer) of Canton; great-grandchildren, Evan Saxon, Noah Saxon, Jordan Richards, Carter Dover, Caylin Dover, Cooper Brewer, Iris Horton; sisters-in-law, Betty Silvers of Jasper, Kathleen Biddy of Ball Ground; brother-in-law, Herman Biddy of Ball Ground. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Laura Silver. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2022 at Ball Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Greg Long, Reverend Jason Phillips, and David Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Saxon, Dillon Horton, Dylan Brewer, Rick Silvers, Doug Silvers, and Scott Silvers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Leonard Childers, B. R. Roberts, Rob Jones, and Lowell Manous. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday, January 21, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The family will accept flowers or memorial donations may be made to the Ball Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
