Survivors include: son, William O. "Billy" Moss of Jasper; grandson, Jonathon Brandon Bennett of Cherokee County; brother-in-law, Gary and Betty Kilpatrick of Ranger, NC; brother-in-law, Richard and Lorraine Kilpatrick of Ranger, NC. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews from Georgia to North Carolina, and a host of friends also survive. Lanier was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Ruth Kilpatrick Moss; parents, Odas William Moss and Ruby Ione Low Moss; fiance of his son, Charlene Sidney Quintana, and sisters, Margaret Mulkey, Patricia Wigington, and Martha Fountain. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 24, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Moss Fountain, Rev. Grant Wade, Rev. James Thompson, and Brother David Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites by Blaine Lodge #534 F&AM. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Sunday, October, 23, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Monday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
