He was born March 25, 1941 to Willie T. and Sara Kate Owens in Tate, Georgia. Jack is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Owens of Talking Rock; daughters, Terri Lynn Owens Kates (John) of Jefferson, Tracey Lea Owens Stephens (Jerry) of Jefferson; step-daughter, Shena Wilmarth (Eric) of Ball Ground; two grandchildren, Makayla and Jared. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Kate Owens and his first wife, Judy Owens. A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The family will accept flowers.
